Gnomes are tiny, humanoid creatures with pointed ears and an innate gift for magic. They have been known to grow to 9½ centimeters and to live for centuries. North American gnomes are divided over human technology. The Old World Gnomes view technology as a dangerous, destructive heresy. The Techgnomes revere it and gave up magic and spirituality in pursuit of it. Now, these two societies clash throughout all of gnomedom, each viewing the other as a threat to their way of life.
