Rebeacca (Robinette) Scarsbrook

Rebecca Robinette married Benjamin Scarsbrook. As of 1701, she was living with him at Scarsbrook Manor. They shared a room on the third floor. Shortly after Benjamin’s brother Jonathan brought his own wife Amanda to live at the manor house, Rebecca’s husband committed suicide, hanging himself in the olive grove. Rebecca had already conceived his child, though she never had the chance to tell him. She gave birth in 1702, and she named the child Benjamin Scarsbrook, Jr.
